Which 16 Values test is compared here?
This page refers specifically to 16valuestest.com and its published methodology. Similar names can refer to different questionnaires, so check the domain before interpreting a comparison. Its sixteen dimensions are grouped into four families. The twelve dimensions on this website have the meanings listed in our axes overview. Do not assume another site’s description of “12 axes” refers to this implementation.
More dimensions can change the questions
Separating regulation from ownership, for example, lets a framework distinguish support for market rules from support for publicly owned services. In this test, Economy and Welfare address related decisions more broadly. Conversely, our Conflict, Migration and Environment scales make certain policy choices explicit. Adding dimensions is a design choice about coverage, not an automatic improvement in measurement quality.
Worldview is not the same as policy
A preference for evidence in deciding factual questions is different from a view about religious institutions influencing the state. Similarly, enjoying technological change is not identical to favouring a particular regulatory policy. Those distinctions matter when comparing Science / Faith or Techno-optimism / Simplicity with the Religion & state and Technology scales here. The mapping marks only conceptual relationships.
What can you carry between tests?
Carry the questions you want to investigate, not numerical scores. There is no validated conversion between these instruments, and 12 axes does not calculate an official 16 Values result from your answers. Read how each site derives labels and what evidence supports its claims. This website has not established real-user reliability, representative population norms or a diagnostic interpretation. Choose a test by its topics and transparency, and keep your own reasoning alongside the output.
